MEII & THe UN GLOBAL COMPACT

United Nations Global Compact

MEII has been an active member of the United Nations Global Compact (UNCG) since March 2015. UNCG is a strategic policy initiative for organizations and businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with 10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption.

MEII has pledged to uphold and disseminate the principles, and support public accountability and transparency, by submitting annually a Communication on Progress (COP) report to the UNGC. The COP highlights select activities taken to incorporate the ten principles in our strategy, culture, and day-to-day operations. We believe these actions have contributed to a stronger foundation for our organization and for our future growth.

PRINCIPLE 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labor,

Environment
PRINCIPLE 7: MEII supports a precautionary approach to environmental challenges, and

PRINCIPLE 8: undertakes initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility, and

PRINCIPLE 9: encourages the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
